makes sense, thx for the quick reply!

ooooh nice! That would be the best option I think. But I don't really see any concrete steps beyond this blog post so not sure what the status is...
@bnewbold.net? π
@bnewbold.net has proposed adding proper dictionary support to a lexicon v2 and I might see if I can push for that bnewbold.leaflet.pub/3mimokt4o5c2f

jup, found it!
oh nevermind, I see that's what team members do
@marque.at is there a way for a domain owner to give DNS control to another (atproto) account?
afaik a map key can't be validated in stock lexicon at all, but an array item's `lang` can be `format: "language"`, so you keep the BCP-47 check (regional variants and all), on a value not a key.
So you'd lose the `.nl` access, but keep the validation.

hmm yeah that makes sense. I was trying to think of an elegant single solutuon for both but maybe that is just not needed to begin with.
profile fields / structured records -> embeds
posts -> reference
It's just the lack of self-awereness/reflection/owning up to it that was quite funny to me π
I mean to be clear: moving off of big tech is not easy and sometimes just plainly not an option, especially if you are unable to self host things.
And you don't have to be a perfect angel yourself and you can still dislike things you use or choices you made....
Just saw someone going on about how bad Big Tech in general and Linkedin specifically are
...only to then ask people to subscribe to their Substack
fix(showcase): remove top gap on thumbnails

Yeah I think that's the direction
But: i18n: {nl: {...}} can't be a lexicon, atproto has no arbitrary-key object type. so it has to be an array, like translations: [{lang: 'nl', ...}]. @lemmaeof.gay hit the same wall with translatable.json (discourse.atmosphere.community/t/localizati...)
haha, no you don't. No one does. 3-5FPS is no way to play this game.
(but yeah... it does work.... Setup your own PDS for this BTW or prepare to get rate limited...)
I might have to try Doom over AT Protocol @gui.do! github.com/singi-labs/d...

This is the most important video I've ever made.
In this, I explore the negative and positive mental health effects of AI coding, with data and expert commentary.

Ah yeah, that could work. @caesar.dev also confirmed
open q: this fits a single profile record cleanly, but a CV is self + dozens of list records (positions, education..). does the self+alternate index generalize to a multi-record entity, or was it only meant for one profile record?
That's a very cool idea! You nudges me to make my own watchface for my Garmin doing something similar π
@jauntywunderkind.bsky.social / @caesar.dev: @adammika.cz flagged an issue with the two-records route: can't have two self-keyed records of one lexicon, so they'd need connecting somehow (the hreflang-style array?) for it to work.
Would that make it work, or is there a cleaner way I'm missing? π€
fix(showcase): re-add clembs, retry transient non-2xx

Talk to @sgo.to
I will always be down to PM this very specific project, and if this is something you or anyone else you know is seriously thinking about, I'd love to connect now or at any time in the future. Product strategy and roadmapping, brand strategy, community-driven UX research, etc, I'm ready to go.
Had a lot of fun this weekend with the kids, two game controllers, a raspberry pi 4 and Batocera. Much nicer experience than with RetroPie (not that that was bad!)
Still none, have you checked hardware prices lately....? π±
So now you need to post 2 replies: one with the known lore, second with the unknown lore
Oh excuus. Dit gerecht hebben ze niet in vega optie geloof ik, maar er staan wel veel andere vega gerechten op de kaart! barshurestaurant.co.uk/menu/
Menu β barshurestaurant.co.uk@adammika.cz did point me towards adam-mika.pckt.blog/how-to-make-... π
Well if you just make it markdown-on-atproto, sync it to your local device and you can use either as an appview

A mistake that you will probably not make a second time nor forget for the rest of your life...

Oh en bestel er ook een glas melk bij. Of twee... π
Got 3 seperate requests this week for Sifa multilanguage profiles so seems like there is at least some need for it π
I get that it's less of an issue for microblogging, but now that we have much more static/longform content put on protocol like articles and CVs it's becoming more of a thing
Adding multilanguage support to atproto records is probably something that has been discussed before right...?
What was the outcome? Not happening? Impossible? Some convention to make it work...?
It's more concrete than you might think... π
Next meetup in Amsterdam is Sept/Oct at @waag.org (exact date tbd)

Lots of great venues in Rotterdam!
Are you living in The Netherlands π³π± and working on/with atproto things?
LMK and I'll add you to the DutchProto group and you'll be the first to know about upcoming meetups!
Note that you don't need to be able to speak Dutch BTW, English or Dunglish will do π
Runs in the family I think...

That's a lot of you that signed up for a product in alpha... ππ°
Thanks a ton though for all the feedback that your are sending in, building this in public is greatly improving my ability to set priorities, figure out how you want to use this and properly shape the product around your needs! π
