Vibed that couple months ago to figure out where we could stay within reasonable distance of a 60+min totality haha. Was kinda fun!

That would work! You could even fly along the path, could maybe even give you over 30 or even 60 minutes of totality if you fly fast enough...

Good luck! ๐Ÿ˜†

Weird isnโ€™t it given how much data theyโ€™re collecting about us

Iโ€™ve been using Kagi for search for over a year now and always miss it when I find myself hitting a google search elsewhere!

Yesterday

@wake.st @finest.day Fixed and live. The button triggered a link toolbar that didn't render... It now opens a URL row: apply, remove, cancel.

Thanks for the report! ๐Ÿ™

I noticed that yesterday, too. It seems the only thing that works is typing a URL directly into the box.
I mean, not that this is particularly helpful. But it would be great if we could post links properly.

Oddly mostly happens to the big tech ones?

I mean I'm all for experience the local culture, but crossing a border doesn't instantly make me fluent in that language...?

I know this is old news, but it does not fail to surprise me that still in 2026 when I travel to another country, some webservices that I'm logged in to (and have actively set to English!) suddenly and without asking decide to change their SERPs or interface language to the local one.

Got some more availability for some contract work, so I created a @sifa.id profile ๐Ÿ‘€ sifa.id/p/tokono.ma

Still resisting to make a LinkedIn account ๐Ÿ˜ค Though I now regret not having that professional network.

these are not easy questions if you need to do that for 100s of apps/lexicons (that are growing by the day) for a team of ~50 people.

Or maybe not even then, but only when someone rates a show? Or even not that: only when they leave a review?

Where is the line?

What if someone likes someone else's review? Should that be shown?

What if another movie review app comes around, should bsky include that one as well right away?

that would force bluesky to make a lot of calls on which app to include and exclude, but also what activity to include and exclude which isn't easy.

E.g. take @popfeed.social: should Bluesky then show it when someone marks a show as "want to watch" or "watching"? Or only when "watched?

I think providing a bounded set of restrictions (UI elements) that can be filled in with records would be an incredible way to use the traffic the platform currently has to continue to bolster the breadth of the ecosystem.

(and to disambiguate, when I say โ€œitโ€ Iโ€™m speaking of building a way for services built on AT Protocol to expose their capabilities inside of Bluesky in a way that is uniquely available here, compared to every other previous crossplat attempt web2 apps made because of its architecture on AT Proto)

Bluesky networkPosted

That's already here? You can build it today and people do: apps like @skywalker.thereforeiam.eu, Heron, @mu.social, @blackskyweb.xyz, @anisota.net already build upon the app.bsky.* lexicons and create custom experiences with other/extra features. Not many other ecosystem that allow for that ๐Ÿ™‚

one thing I feel Bluesky hasnโ€™t taken advantage of is being able to build new forms of interaction

itโ€™s twitter. It is. Thereโ€™s nothing that would make me want to use it over twitter if Iโ€™d not already made that choice. No different ways to engage, nothing unique.

Standard Reader renders other people's writing natively, which quietly put us in competition with the sites we mirror for search ranking.

Now every article page points search engines back at the publication's own site (rel=canonical)

Reading it in the reader shouldn't cost a writer their ranking.
